Providing holistic birth and postpartum doula support to families across Bristol, North Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset. Through personalised antenatal preparation, continuous birth support and nurturing postpartum care, I support women and their partners to navigate pregnancy, birth and early parenthood with confidence and trust.
... one which changed you in the most beautifully profound way. Imagine realising how powerful and capable you are. Knowing that you are connected to your intuition, to your body and to your baby. Imagine feeling safe, held, supported and heard during your birth. So that, no matter how your birth unfolds, you are able to navigate the journey into motherhood (or motherhood again) from a place of empowerment, ease and deep trust in yourself.
You know that this journey is a wild one, often filled with a lot of outside noise and many highs and lows along the way. But instead of simply going with the flow and allowing others to dictate how your journey should unfold, you are looking for someone to believe in you and encourage you to nurture a deep sense of trust and belief in yourself; whilst simultaneously sharing evidence-based information with you, so that you can make your own decisions about the birth of your baby from a place of intuition and knowledge.
Imagine being supported and celebrated as you navigate this sacred rite of passage from maiden to mother or mother again, knowing that you did everything you could to create the empowering, beautiful birth experience that you deserve. As your birth & postpartum doula, together, we can ensure that you and your partner enter parenthood rooted in a deep sense of unwavering trust in your ability to raise and nurture your new baby.

"Nicole was our doula for our first baby, and we are so grateful that we worked with her to bring this precious life into the world. With her support, I have come away from my birth feeling proud, strong, and deeply happy. Nicole looked after us so well, from our initial sessions leading up to the birth, to staying with us throughout the labour, and then through her follow-up visits afterwards. She brought such a kind heart and softness that was so needed during the birthing process, along with nourishing, delicious food and thoughtful words of wisdom when we needed them most. We felt truly cared for and supported by Nicole. I wholeheartedly recommend Nicole as a doula. Thank you, Nicole. You will always be in our hearts"
JASMINE, DOULA CLIENT
"Nicole worked with me and my partner during the pregnancy and birth of our first child. It was an amazing experience and we are so grateful for her support, without which it would have been very different. For what could have been a very challenging experience, her support was outstanding and she supported us the whole way through the birth feeling safe and empowered. Her approach and advice was really well considered, walking us through the type of birth my partner wanted to have beforehand and thinking about different birth scenarios. As a birth partner it was great to have Nicole's advice on how best to support the birth and my partner during labour, as well as any concerns I had. I would definitely recommend Nicole as a doula, particularly for any birth partners who are unsure about how they can support"

I am there to support you to connect to this intuitive guidance by offering practical, emotional and spiritual support, as well as evidence based information, to allow you to have the birth experience that you deserve.

Read more about my journey to becoming a doula here.
I will hold space for you to share openly and without judgment any fears, concerns or worries that might arise during your birth preparation, and I will witness, honour and celebrate you as you move through this transformational rite of passage. The journey of pregnancy, birth and postpartum is a deeply spiritual one and I will also offer simple practices to inspire you to weave the sacredness back into your birth space.
It is hugely important to me that I get to know you and your family in a deep and intimate way during our antenatal preparation sessions. After all, I am going to be there during one of the most significant, life-changing experiences you will ever go through. It is only from this place of trust between us that I can best support you in having the birth you desire. During our birth preparation sessions we will meet at your home, most likely over a delicious home-cooked meal or cup of tea, and really get to know one another. We will -
At the birth of your baby, you want someone in your birth space who knows you, who understands your wishes and who will make sure that your voice is heard and prioritised. You want someone to tune into your needs and offer the type of birth support that makes you feel safe - whether that looks like hands on care, verbal reassurance or taking care of the practical stuff in the background. I will be there to offer you the holding you need to be able to fully surrender and birth your baby. I will also be there to provide your birth partner with the confidence and reassurance that he/she needs to create a loving, oxytocin filled environment for you. After all, they are the ones who know you best and know how to make you feel loved.
But my doula support does not stop after the birth of your baby. I will be there for you during those tender and vulnerable early weeks as a new mother; providing you with reassurance, nourishment, nurturing and a space to offload and process during your fourth trimester. I will hold and tend to you as a new mother, so that you can hold and tend to your baby from a place of vitality and fullness. I can also assist with sign-posting, baby-tending and other tasks that may help with the smooth running of the household.
I will be walking alongside you during one of the most intimate and transformational experiences of your life, so of course it is essential that you feel totally comfortable with me. I offer a free, no obligation discovery call over Zoom for you to see if I am the right doula for you.
"I worked with Nicole in a 121 capacity for a postpartum doula session. It was just what I needed - she did some gentle massage and a meditation to start which grounded me and gave me some much needed relaxation and reflection time and then we discussed my birth. She also bought lots of yummy treats. I felt so nurtured by her. Really recommend carving out some time for yourself to have a postpartum session with her"

"A few weeks after the birth of my daughter, Nicole also visited me at home for a postpartum session. It was such a valuable space to process my birth experience, talk through some of the challenges I’d faced, and explore ways to create a positive, supported postpartum period. Throughout our time together, I felt deeply cared for, listened to, and nurtured"

Imagine yourself at the birth of your baby. There is a woman there. You know her. She is holding your hand. She is stroking your hair and massaging your back. She is bringing you water and snacks. She is putting your favourite music on. She is reminding your birth partner of that comfort measure you found helpful. She is making sure your birth partner is taking time to eat and rest. She is providing evidence-based information to help you make informed decisions. She is quietly whispering to you, “You are so strong, you’ve got this mama”. She is making sure that your wishes for your birth are honoured. She is a doula.
As your birth doula in Bristol, North Somerset and Bath & North East Somerset, I will know you and your birth partner intimately, I will know your desires and your values and will be able to communicate those on your behalf if you feel that you are unable to. I will remind you of your power and enable you to make decisions from a place of empowerment.
I will support you in preparing for birth and motherhood by sharing evidence-based information and other women's stories. I will support you in releasing fears and connecting back in with your intuition.
I will listen to you and hold you in those tender moments of early motherhood, bringing you food and tea and running you a warm, healing bath. I will hold your baby while you catch up on some sleep or take the dog for a walk or just take a moment to yourself. I will remind you that you are exactly the mother your baby needs. I will offer you the postpartum support you so deeply deserve.
There is evidence (sources below) to show that having a doula can mean:
The evidence found in these studies is amazing and really proves that having a doula can improve outcomes for women and their families.
But also, when you choose to invest money into hiring a birth & postpartum doula to support and hold you during one of the most transformative events of your life, you are investing in yourself. You are affirming that you are worthy of having the most empowered, transformational birth experience. You are choosing to put yourself and your baby first. And I believe that the world needs more mothers who are brave enough to choose to centre themselves and their babies during birth.

I offer birth and postpartum doula support throughout:
If your town name doesn't appear on this list but you still fall within the regions of Bristol, North Somerset and Bath & North East Somerset I will still be able to supprt you.
There is often a misconception that a doula is only for those women who are more ‘alternative’ and want to give birth at home. However, I would argue that given the current maternity crisis in hospitals, a doula is for EVERYONE. Whether you are planning a home birth, a birth in the midwife-led unit, a birth in the central delivery suite or a cesarean birth; I will walk alongside you.
Yes. After payment of an initial deposit, the remainder of payments for all of my packages will be evenly spread out (either monthly or weekly, depending on how many weeks along you are when hiring me) with the final payment due before 37 weeks or as close thereto as possible. Of course if you wanted to pay the full and final amount in a lump sum then that would also be possible.
Yes. Even though our initial Discovery Call will be online, I am more than happy to meet you in person before you consider inviting me into your birth team. After all, I want you to be completely comfortable investing in me (and yourself!).
