and I walk alongside women as a Holistic Birth and Postpartum Doula. I also facilitate monthly Women’s Circles and Mother & Baby Circles, as well as teaching Pregnancy Yoga and embodied movement. But most importantly, I am a mother to my beautiful son.
It is my deepest intention to hold a safe space for women and mothers to step into their intuitive power and come back home to the wisdom of their hearts and wombs, whilst reminding them that they are deeply held and loved unconditionally by Mother Earth. I believe that this journey of coming home looks different for every mother and so I endeavour to meet you where you're at, welcoming all parts of you, just as you are.
My journey through motherhood has not been linear but rather it has been a series of spirals as I navigate the many ebbs and flows encountered along the way. I have experienced feelings of unworthiness and self-doubt, felt the grip of all consuming anger, sat under the cloud of shame and guilt, armoured myself up against perceived criticism and been so identified with the thoughts racing through my mind. And along the way I have realised that perfection does not exist and that it is okay to hold both the beauty and the messiness of life at the same time. This is the message I wish all mothers knew in their bones.
I believe that with every birth, no matter where it takes place or how it unfolds, a woman goes on a journey through a transformational rite of passage which will change her in the most beautifully profound way. It is my intention to walk alongside you and your partner on this journey - to nourish and celebrate you, to remind you how powerful and capable you are, to hold space for you to come back to your own intuition, to invite you to connect with your amazing body and your baby, and to support you to navigate this rite of passage from a place of empowerment and ease.
This journey is a wild one, often filled with a lot of outside noise and many ebbs and flows along the way. I will be there throughout to share knowledge with you and your partner, to bring you back to your intuition and to support you in whatever decision you make. I will walk alongside you no matter where you choose to give birth or what your birth looks like, I will provide you with that sense of stability and continuity.
You deserve to be held and honoured as you navigate this profoundly beautiful rite of passage. Together, we can ensure that you and your partner enter parenthood rooted in a deep sense of unwavering trust in your ability to raise and nurture your new arrival.
"Nicole was our doula for our first baby, and we are so grateful that we worked with her to bring this precious life into the world. With her support, I have come away from my birth feeling proud, strong, and deeply happy. My biggest fear around having a baby was feeling traumatised by the birth and the medical system, so I am incredibly grateful that this isn’t my story. Nicole looked after us so well, from our initial sessions leading up to the birth, to staying with us throughout the labour, and then through her follow-up visits afterwards. She brought such a kind heart and softness that was so needed during the birthing process, along with nourishing, delicious food and thoughtful words of wisdom when we needed them most. We felt truly cared for and supported by Nicole. I wholeheartedly recommend Nicole as a doula. Thank you, Nicole. You will always be in our hearts"
JASMINE, DOULA CLIENT

I first came to yoga as a way to decompress after a long day working in a very stressful corporate environment. After completing my teacher training in South Africa (my home country), I moved to Bristol where I started to be drawn towards slower, more restorative styles of yoga, and towards movement that was more embodied and fluid. I went on to complete my pregnancy yoga training with Uma Dinsmore-Thuli.
Connecting to my own innate body wisdom and to the wisdom and cycles of the Earth have been the biggest lessons I have learnt during my journey with yoga, and it is my intention to share these teachings with other pregnant women and mothers so that they can experience this sense of homecoming for themselves.
I currently teach Pregnancy Yoga twice a week at Trika, and a Rest + Restore practice at Elevate.
I also offer private 1-2-1 guidance at a location of your choice.

LILY, PREGNANCY YOGA ATTENDEE

I have been hosting women's circles with Megan now for almost 4 years and oh, what a sweet holding they are. Being in circle with other women who give you the space and permission to show up exactly as you are, in all your messiness and in all your beauty, is the medicine that the world needs right now. When I sit in circle with other women I am reminded on a deep level of our interconnectedness, how I can see a little part of me mirrored in the faces of each sister, even though our stories may look different. I am reminded that I am not alone. These circles are a space for women to come back home to themselves whilst being witnessed and held without judgement by the other sisters sat in circle. Megan and I facilitate a number of circles which bring together women at all stages of their journey.
In addition, I also solo facilitate a monthly Mother & Baby Circle for the mother looking to connect back to herself and be witnessed by other mothers through the ebbs and flows of motherhood.

Imagine yourself at the birth of your baby. There is a woman there. You know her. She is holding your hand. She is stroking your hair and massaging your back. She is bringing you water and snacks. She is putting your favourite music on. She is reminding your birth partner of that comfort measure you found helpful. She is making sure your birth partner is taking time to eat and rest. She is providing evidence-based information to help you make informed decisions. She is quietly whispering to you, “You are so strong, you’ve got this mama”. She is making sure that your wishes for your birth are honoured. She is a doula.
As your doula, I will know you and your birth partner intimately, I will know your desires and your values and will be able to communicate those on your behalf if you feel that you are unable to. I will remind you of your power and enable you to make decisions from a place of empowerment.
I will support you in preparing for birth and motherhood by sharing evidence-based information and other women's stories. I will support you in releasing fears and connecting back in with your intuition.
I will listen to you and hold you in those tender moments of early motherhood, bringing you food and tea and running you a warm, healing bath. I will hold your baby while you catch up on some sleep or take the dog for a walk or just take a moment to yourself. I will remind you that you are exactly the mother your baby needs.
There is evidence (sources below) to show that having a doula can mean:
The evidence found in these studies is amazing and really proves that having a doula can improve outcomes for women and their families.
But also, when you choose to invest money into hiring a doula to support and hold you during one of the most transformative events of your life, you are investing in yourself. You are affirming that you are worthy of having the most empowered, transformational birth experience. You are choosing to put yourself and your baby first. And I believe that the world needs more mothers who are brave enough to choose to centre themselves and their babies during birth.

There is often a misconception that a doula is only for those women who are more ‘alternative’ and want to give birth at home. However, I would argue that given the current maternity crisis in hospitals, a doula is for EVERYONE. Whether you are planning a home birth, a birth in the midwife-led unit, a birth in the central delivery suite or a cesarean birth; I will walk alongside you.
Yes. After payment of an initial deposit, the remainder of payments for all of my packages will be evenly spread out (either monthly or weekly, depending on how many weeks along you are when hiring me) with the final payment due before 37 weeks or as close thereto as possible. Of course if you wanted to pay the full and final amount in a lump sum then that would also be possible.
Yes. Even though our initial Discovery Call will be online, I am more than happy to meet you in person before you consider inviting me into your birth team. After all, I want you to be completely comfortable investing in me (and yourself!).
